## Reunion Schedule
A Preview of Our Planned Activities
Here's a preview of the reunion activities currently being planned. Think of this as our working schedule—it will continue to evolve as event details are finalized.
Some activities, such as the Welcome Gathering and Farewell Dinner, are open to everyone. Others are optional **Small Gruppo Activities**, giving you the opportunity to choose the experiences that interest you most.
On **Thursday**, most classmates will select **one morning and one afternoon Small Gruppo Activity**. On **Friday**, you're invited to enjoy a relaxed morning at the Uffizi before everyone begins heading home.

1. Tuesday, November 10 5:00–7:30 PM CSU Florence → Bistro Café 1926 One event • one ticket €35 per person
### Il Gruppo ’76 Welcome Reception
Welcome back to Florence! Begin our 50th reunion with a visit to CSU Florence, then reconnect with classmates and guests over an apericena buffet at Bistro Café 1926. Tuesday, November 10, 2026, 5–7:30 PM. €35 per person; one ticket covers both parts.
**Tuesday, November 10, 2026 • 5:00–7:30 PM**
**5 PM — CSU Florence, Via Leopardi 12.** Faculty and current students will welcome us, with an opportunity to visit the facility. At approximately 5:45 PM, we’ll walk together to Bistro Café 1926.
**6–7:30 PM — Welcome Reception at Bistro Café 1926.** Catch up with classmates, partners and guests over an apericena buffet of savory hors d’œuvres, crostini, canapés, salame and prosciutto, pappa al pomodoro (Tuscan tomato and bread soup), and dessert.
**€35 per person** includes the buffet and **one cocktail OR glass of wine OR nonalcoholic drink.** One event and one ticket cover both the CSU visit and reception. The existing booking service charge is added at checkout. All times are Florence local time.

2. Wednesday, November 11 8:30 AM – 6:45 PM
### Siena & San Gimignano Day Trip
Relive one of the most memorable parts of our year in Florence—the field trips that took us beyond the classroom and into the heart of Tuscany. Join your classmates for a full-day excursion aboard a private coach as we revisit the spirit of those adventures.
**Transportation is free, courtesy of an anonymous classmate donation.** Reservations are required; lunches, admissions, and personal expenses are not included.
Spend the morning exploring the medieval towers and winding streets of San Gimignano before continuing to Siena for lunch and an afternoon discovering one of Italy's most beautiful historic cities. Return to Florence in time for dinner and the evening's reunion activities.
Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of a member of our Il Gruppo ’76 family, transportation for our November 11 excursion to San Gimignano and Siena is being provided at no charge to everyone attending.
**Please register again using the Confirmed Free Reservation ticket, even if you previously reserved or purchased a ticket.** Reserve one ticket per passenger for our 50-seat bus. Earlier reservations do not automatically carry over. Lunches, refreshments, museum and church admissions, and other personal expenses are not included.
Meet at Piazza Ferrucci at 8:15 AM for the 8:30 AM departure.

3. Wednesday, November 11 7:30 PM - Evening Various local trattorias and osterias in Florence
### Small Gruppo Dinners Around Florence
After our day exploring the Tuscan countryside, Wednesday evening is yours to enjoy Florence at your own pace. Rather than gathering for one large dinner, we'll organize a selection of optional small-group dinners at local trattorias and osterias, giving everyone the chance to continue the day's conversations in a more relaxed setting.
We'll choose several restaurants representing different neighborhoods, styles of cuisine, and price ranges—from traditional Florentine trattorias to cozy neighborhood osterias. Each restaurant will accommodate a small group of classmates, making it easy to enjoy good food, good conversation, and perhaps discover a new favorite spot in Florence.
As our restaurant selections are finalized, you'll be able to browse the options, learn more about each venue, and reserve a place at the dinner that interests you most.
**Estimated Cost:** Varies by restaurant (pay individually)

### Il Gruppo ’76 Farewell Dinner
One more evening together! Bring our 50th reunion to a close with classmates and guests at Rosso Crudo on Thursday, November 12, 2026, from 8–11 PM. Enjoy good food, shared memories and friendships worth celebrating. €35 per person.
**Thursday, November 12, 2026 • 8:00–11:00 PM**
After three days together in Florence, gather with classmates, partners and guests for a relaxed farewell dinner at **Rosso Crudo, Via dei Servi 85r, Florence.** Meet directly at the restaurant; all times are Florence local time (Europe/Rome).
Share stories from our reunion, enjoy an evening of good food and conversation, and celebrate friendships that began in 1976–77.

### Pottery Workshop in Montelupo
**Optional Small Group Activity**
Experience one of Tuscany's oldest artistic traditions with a hands-on pottery workshop in the charming town of Montelupo Fiorentino. Working alongside a master ceramic artist, you'll create your own pottery on the wheel, then leave it to be fired, glazed, and shipped home as a lasting souvenir of your Florence reunion.
**€118.20 per person** (€110 pottery experience + €8.20 round-trip regional train fare). The pottery experience includes the factory visit, hands-on workshop, materials, firing, glazing, shipping your finished pottery home, and transportation between Matteo’s shop and factory.
Meet Linda at Firenze Santa Maria Novella at **8:45 AM**; she will have the group train tickets. Regional 18205: Firenze SMN **09:10** → Montelupo-Capraia **09:30**. Workshop begins approximately **10:00 AM**.

### Pasta & Tiramisù Cooking Class at Rosso Crudo
**Optional Activity**
Spend a morning with classmates at Rosso Crudo in central Florence, making fresh pasta and tiramisù together. It is a chance to catch up with old friends, share a few laughs in the kitchen and enjoy the food we have prepared.
With a chef’s guidance, we will learn traditional techniques for two Italian favorites, then gather to eat what we make during the two-hour class. Join us on Thursday, November 12, from 10:00 to 12:00.

### Florence Walking Tour
**Optional Small Group Activity**
Rediscover Florence with classmates as we explore some of the city's lesser-known churches, historic landmarks, and hidden artistic treasures. Led by a local guide, this leisurely walk offers a chance to experience another side of Florence while enjoying conversation and shared memories along the way.
Beginning at **Santa Maria Novella**, we'll visit the **Tornabuoni Chapel and its Ghirlandaio fresco cycle**, visit **Basilica di San Lorenzo**, then continue to **Ospedale degli Innocenti**, where the tour concludes.
**Estimated cost:** Guide fee plus any applicable admission charges (TBD)

### Amaro Tasting at Enoteca Alessi
**Optional Small Group Activity**
Join a small group for a relaxed **Italian aperitivo and amaro tasting experience** at a traditional Florentine enoteca, featuring a curated selection of Italian amaros, light aperitivo, and shared local specialties.
**€65 per person plus €5 booking/payment-processing fee at checkout (€70 total).** Advance payment required. Book and pay through the event page.
We’ll gather in the wine cellar at Enoteca Alessi, known for its exceptional selection of Italian spirits.
The experience will begin with a light Italian aperitivo (vermouth or spritz), followed by a guided tasting of several different amaros—ranging from lighter, citrus-forward styles to more complex and bitter expressions. Small plates of cheese, salumi, and other Tuscan specialties will be served throughout.
This is a casual, social tasting—no prior knowledge required, just curiosity and a willingness to try something new.
**Price:** €65 per person plus €5 booking/payment-processing fee added at checkout (€70 total)

### Tuscan Wine Tasting at Tuscan Taste Florence
**Optional Small Group Activity**
Spend a relaxed afternoon with classmates discovering the wines of Tuscany at Tuscan Taste Florence. This informal tasting emphasizes conversation, local flavors, and enjoying regional wines in a welcoming neighborhood setting.
You'll explore a selection of wines with guidance from Tuscan Taste's sommelier, with an emphasis on wines from small Tuscan producers. The tasting will be accompanied by sharing boards featuring Tuscan cheeses, cured meats, bread, bruschette, and other small Tuscan specialties.
This is a casual, social tasting designed for conversation and discovery. Whether you're already a wine enthusiast or simply enjoy sharing good food and good company, you'll find a welcoming atmosphere and an enjoyable introduction to the wines and traditions of Tuscany.

### Florence Gelato Tasting Tour
**Optional Small Group Activity**
Spend an hour with classmates discovering Florence through its gelaterie. Join Lisa Lorang for a guided visit to three gelato shops, with time for conversation and a chance to choose a few favorite flavors along the way.
Learn a little about Italian gelato while enjoying a relaxed afternoon together in the heart of Florence. This is a sweet option for anyone who would enjoy a small group outing with reunion friends.
**Thursday, November 12 • 3:30–4:30 PM**
**Price:** €20 per person for the guide only. All gelato purchases are extra and paid individually.

7. Friday, November 13 Morning
### Uffizi Gallery Visit
**Optional Small Gruppo Activity**
Return to one of Florence's greatest museums with classmates and rediscover the paintings and sculptures that first brought our art history classes to life. Whether you prefer a guided tour, an independent visit, or the opportunity to include the historic Vasari Corridor, this flexible Friday morning lets you experience the Uffizi in the way that best suits you.
For many of us, our first visit to the Uffizi was unforgettable. We stood before paintings we had previously known only from textbooks and lectures, discovering artists whose works would stay with us for a lifetime. Nearly fifty years later, those same galleries offer an opportunity to rediscover familiar masterpieces through older eyes and with a lifetime of new experiences.
After your visit, join classmates for an informal lunch at **Trattoria Bordino**, where we'll share favorite discoveries, continue old conversations, and enjoy one final meal together before everyone begins heading home.
**Estimated Cost:** Approximately **€30–€85**, depending on the ticket option you choose.
**Group Size:** Flexible participation—choose a guided tour, self-guided visit, or include the Vasari Corridor.
